The goal of asthma care is to be under control, defined as needing Albuterol less than twice a week with exercise, less than two times per month at night and not needing oral steroids more than once a year.
Asthma that is not in control causes potential scarring in your lungs which will cause a decline in lung function with age.
We work to keep your asthma under control by giving you an asthma plan, updating it whenever necessary and following the lung function on spirometry (done in the office).
Once your asthma is under control, you will be able to play more sports, miss less days of school and enjoy better and sound sleep.
